Cookies
Last updated 30 September 2026. This page describes what arkerah actually does. It is not legal advice, and it is written in plain words on purpose.
The two we always set
ark_session keeps you signed in, for up to thirty days.
ark_oauth_state exists for ten minutes, only while you sign in with Google, to check that the answer comes back to the browser that asked.
Both are strictly necessary: without them you cannot sign in, so they need no consent.
Analytics, only if you accept
If you accept analytics in the banner, PostHog sets a cookie and a local-storage entry whose names start with ph_, to count visits and clicks and to report errors. Until you accept, PostHog is not loaded at all and nothing is sent to it.
No advertising cookies, ever.
What your browser keeps
Your answer to the banner is kept in your browser's own storage, so we do not ask again. The product also keeps a small copy of your profile there on the device you use. Neither is a cookie, and clearing your browser's site data removes both.
Changing your answer
Use the button below, or the Analytics row in Settings. Withdrawing consent stops PostHog at once.
